I had a night off from playing last Saturday and whilst wondering round the local music pubs I came across AUC, after listening to your opening Pretenders, Anastasia, etc I disappeared to pick up some friends because I knew we were going to hear the best band in town. I happened to see a couple of poor and lonely muso's of various denominations wandering about like headless chickens, I sectioned them to come down and hear your excellent band!
We all had a great night, all of you accomplished muso's rose to the challenge once a few people came in, good solid and well balanced back line and some great vocals and FOH movement, the backline was very well balanced, also good drum and bass tones complemented by the Marshal/Peavey (?) arrangement, Alan, ever tried the Diesel amps at Mansons, Exeter, their versatility is fantastic although the 50w is a bit quite for outside events (backline of course). The range of music was good and varied works well at 99% of pubs and clubs down on the south coast and it was nice to see the band gradually bringing the music to a crescendo by the end of the gig. What a good night!!!!!!
I look forward to hearing you again, keep up the excellent work. |

| Venue - Old Fox, Gloucester Road, Bristol | Saw the band at the Old Fox in Bristol last Friday - good to see live music only a couple of hundred yards stagger
from my front door! Great sound all round, well done all, and especially nice to see Alan spanking his plank with such
aplomb and dare I say, finesse... clearly the "Gorgonzola of Rock'n'Rollah" has lost none of his touch, as the young lady
from the audience will testify! ;-)

| Venue - Various | Well, after 11 months and seeing around 20 gigs, I’ve finally got my ass in gear and decided to write a review.
I must agree with Layla & Dean, many of the songs that Angel Up Front are better than the original version. Suzi’s awesome vocals on “You Oughta Know” is just one example although there are many others in the set that not only match the original but surpass it both the quality of the instrument playing and the delivery of the vocals. Many of the reviews have highlighted the quality and power of Suzi’s vocals (and rightly so), but all of the band members give 110% of effort on each and every song every time I have seen them. The best recommendation I can give about Angel Up Front is that as I mentioned earlier I have seen the band around 20 times and I never tire of seeing a band that has a constantly expanding set list (the U2 cover is superb guys) and constantly improves on its delivery of those great songs. In short stop reading this review click on the gig list, go and see them; and if they aren’t playing at a venue near you ask your landlord to book them. I can guarantee that you will walk away at the end of the night with a smile on your face and a spring in your step. |

| Venue - Fire Engine, Redfield, Bristol | Wow, it's Monday and I just got my breath back after Saturday night.
No you cynical lot I wasn't popping pills or doing naughties with a young lady.
I had an almost religious experience at the Fire Engine at Redfield watching
Angel Up Front.
There are not many really great female rock singers around, go on count them and see if you get onto the fingers of the other hand, ?didn't think you would. Well when you hear and see Suzi of Angel Up Front, you will see them all rolled into one and then some. This wasn't just a singer with a band, this was a performance, Suzi gives 200% on every song with a pure rock voice of awesome power and range. I also have to give the band top marks for the quality of their playing and professionalism under the conditions that existed in a pretty awful venue. The band was cramped between a corner table and the access to the toilets. This situation saw people from the table walking, and in one case crawling between the band as they played, to get drinks or to go to the toilet and a steady stream (no pun intended) coming and going to and from the toilets on the other side. Well, the band played on as they say and Suzi's smile never left her face as she sang a wonderful mixture of classics and some newer stuff. I never thought I would hear a girl do a Jimi Hendrix number but I was wrong, and she made a stunning job of it. Angel Up Front are on my "must see again list". Suzi looks the part, acts the part and absolutely blows you away with that voice. I am amazed that some big record company hasn't signed her up and taken her away from us mortals to make her into the super star that she must become. Break into the kids piggy bank if you must but go and see Angel Up Front. |

| Loved the singers skirt, vocals and microphone control, thought the guitar was outstanding, applauded the bass, the drummer was a cut above the usual suspects ( have you got that mic for the bass drum yet ? ) especially liked the " forgot the KEY'S gag" and sweet child of mine ! |

| Myself and my partner came to see you play yesterday and to be honest we were blown away! The lead singers fantastic vocal talent & stage presence teamed with a superb drummer, Outstanding lead guitarist and brilliant bass guitar made up the best live performance i've seen in a long time! I'm a great rock fan and to hear such wonderful covers of such classics was great. I always worry that my favourite songs are going to be killed by a poor cover but In the case of AUF I needn't of worried! A lot of the songs I preferred by you guys, which really is saying something! You were so good we booked you for our wedding!! I really recommend that everyone that likes the look of the playlist should go and see you!! Well I'll stop harping on about how great you are, I'm starting to sound like some crazed groupie!! Thanks for a great night and see you soon. |
